Every year cadets from all over South and East Midlands wing get together to compete in track and field events. This is the first time post covid we have managed to get together as Wing. Competing in age distinct categories the cadets go head to head with other squadrons across the wing with the intention of winning their respective categories and the overall best Squadron.
The event this year took place at Saffron Lane athletics stadium in Leicester.
This year we didn’t manage to quite field a full team as the pandemic and cadets leaving as they reach the maximum age they can remain a cadet meant we were a few team members short in a few categories.

Despite this we still managed to gain a creditable position of 18th out of 30 squadrons in the wing which is credit to the cadets who gave there all in there respective events. The 858 star performance this year goes to one of our new cadets Liliana Sapoznikow, affectionally known as Sap by the rest of the cadets, who won the Class D girls high jump in her very first year of competing. Sap now goes on to represent the Wing in the regional championships at Grantham in June.
