Saturday the 5th February 2022 was the 81th Anniversary of the formation of the Air Training Corps. To mark the occasion 858 were joined by cadets and staff from 378 Mannock Squadron in Wellingborough at to celebrate Rushden Mission Church.
We’ve been prevented from marking the day over the previous two years due to the covid precautions, however this year we marched from the Squadron HQ through Rushden with banners flying to be greeted at the Church by our Squadron Padre, Pastor Ian Fall. Pastor Fall lead the two squadrons through a service of celebration, and anyone who has been to one of Ian’s services will know these are an event not to be missed. The theme of this years service was navigation though life. As always we were joined by the church musicians, and a fantastic time was had by all.
378 Mannock Squadron were present on every virtual parade night through the covid lockdown period. So this was an ideal opportunity to get the cadets from both squadrons together, so they could put a face to the names they only previously heard on a online session.
