This year for Remembrance Sunday, Royal Air Force Air Cadets from 858 Rushden Squadron paraded at both Rushden for the morning 11am service and Raunds in the afternoon. This is for the first time in two years alongside representatives of the from the Sea Cadet Corp and the Army Cadet Force, in remembrance and respect for those who have served in conflicts past and present, and for those who have sacrificed so much on our behalf.
858 were led on parade by our Officer Commanding, Flight Lieutenant Colin Harmer RAFAC. Cdt Cpl Caitlin Speers laid the wreath at Rushden, whilst Cdt Flight Sergeant Muir-Howie laid the wreath at Raunds in memoriam and gratitude to all who fought and fell in service to our country.
The services at both locations were attended by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Northampton and local dignitaries, and cadet contingents,
Whilst we were limited on numbers we were allowed on parade this were due to social distancing, the cadets who attended paid their respects on behalf of the whole Squadron.
Thank you to all who attended on behalf of 858 Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets and to all those in the crowd who came to support the day and those marching in the parade.
